Professional supervision offers you protected space to do just that — to reflect on your leadership with an experienced educational leader and qualified supervisor who understands the context in which you work.

Having served as a headteacher, I understand the competing demands, difficult decisions and personal responsibilities that come with leading in education. I offer a confidential, supportive and appropriately challenging partnership where you can explore what is happening in your work, gain fresh perspectives and consider how you want to move forward.

Professional supervision is a structured process of reflection that supports your effectiveness, professional development and wellbeing. It creates an opportunity to explore not only what you are doing, but how you are experiencing your role, how you are responding to challenges and how your leadership affects others.

Our work together will be shaped around your needs and professional context, with three interconnected purposes:

Developmental — to deepen your self-awareness, strengthen your leadership practice, develop new perspectives and identify opportunities for learning and growth.

Supportive — to provide space to explore the emotional demands of leadership, work through difficult situations and recognise patterns or pressures that may be affecting you. You do not have to carry every challenge alone.

Qualitative — to reflect critically on the quality and impact of your work, consider alternative approaches and ensure that your decisions and actions remain aligned with your professional responsibilities and values.

There is no expectation that you arrive with all the answers. Supervision provides space to think openly, question assumptions, acknowledge uncertainty and recognise what you may need to do differently. The aim is to leave with greater clarity, renewed perspective and a stronger sense of how you want to lead.

 

What does the supervision partnership involve?

Every partnership is tailored to your needs, priorities and professional context. We begin with a complimentary discovery session to explore what you are looking for, clarify expectations and agree how we might work together.

​

Sessions can take place face to face or virtually, depending on your preferences and circumstances.

Typically, we work in an initial cycle of six sessions, followed by a review to reflect on your learning, consider your progress and agree on the most appropriate next steps. Following each session, I provide a summary of key reflections and learning, including an agreed action or challenge to support your development between sessions. Your feedback is welcomed throughout to ensure that the partnership remains relevant and valuable.
